    This tartan was designed by Maureen Sinclair for the personal and exclusive use of her husband, John Gordon (Jack) Sinclair MVO, and their immediate family. It was based on the Ancient Hunting Sinclair and approved by the Earl of Caithness. Jack Sinclair, the Scottish Showband leader, performed many times for the Royal family at Balmoral over 51 years. He wore this tartan for his investiture at Buckingham Palace in December 2001.
