- 01/01/2002 — Edinburgh Marketing (register-of-tartans, record)
Scottish Tartans Society records note that the tartan was based on the Drummond tartan after the famous Lord Provost of Edinburgh, Lord Drummond. He is regarded as the father of the New Town and the 'bridge' between the Old Town of Edinburgh and the New Town. The colours are the corporate colours of Edinburgh Marketing: navy, red and white. - pre 2002 — Edinburgh Marketing (Corporate) (tartans-authority, record)
STS records state: The tartan was based on the Drummond tartan after the famous Lord Provost of Edinburgh, Lord Drummond, who is regarded as the father of the New Town and the ''bridge'' between the Old town of Edinburgh and the New Town. The colours are the corporate colours of Edinburgh Marketing, Navy, Red and White. The small sett size means that this verges on being regarded as a check rather than a tartan.
