    Full name of the tartan is Royal Burgh of Peebles Centenary Tartan. Designed by the Royal Burgh of Peebles Callants Club to be gifted to the Peebles Beltane Committee to be gifted to the people of Peebles. Beltane is an old Celtic Festival where the fires of a community are extinguished and then relighted from a central one. It is celebrated on May day (1st May).
