Approved by the Lord Lyon in 1958. Designed for Lord Thomson of Fleet in 1958 based on a sample in the Moy Hall collection dating from the mid 19th century. In 1998 it was agreed by Dugald MacTavish of Dunardry 26th Chief to be the 'dress' Clan tartan. - pre 2002 — MacTavish Dress (tartans-authority, record)
