  • 01/01/1985 — Harvey (register-of-tartans, record)
This threadcount was provided to the Scottish Tartans Authority in Feb 2006 by Jim MacAslan (formerly of the Edinburgh Woollen Mill). The tartan has been attributed to D C Dalgliesh and Pendleton Woolen Mills (Oregon) and was recorded in 1985 from a sample supplied by Lochcarron and named a Harvie/Harvey Tartan.
  • pre 1985 — Harvey (Name) (tartans-authority, record)
Muddled situation. Two other entries - 1177 and 5160. This is the count from a Sindex card given to the STA in Feb 2006 by Jim MacAslan (ex EWM). Pooling the notes from all three it is variously attributed to D C Dalgliesh and Pendleton Woolen Mills (Oregon) and appeared in 1985 when Lochcarron sent a sample - presumably to the Scottish Tartans Society - for identification saying that a customer claimed it was a Harvie/Harvey. The SLOG given at 1177 doesn't match that entry but DOES match this one so the odds are that this is the correct sett.
