    This tartan is for anyone who works in the pre-hospital setting, particularly EMT's and Paramedics. The colours used in the design are: black and red to signify 11 September 2001, for all police, fire and EMS personnel working and off that fateful day; white stands for purity and cleanliness; light blue stands for the star of life; yellow stands for the snake and staff in the center of the star of life; light green stands for the earth where life saving duties are put into practise.
