Millar, BC Canada, says in a letter dated 1952, ''Sett of the Rankin tartan from Mr Ewen Rankin, Post Hammond P.O., Maple Ridge, British Columbia, who says: 'It was a well known Scottish tweed manufacturer who wove the material for the kilt but as some 20 years have passed since, I cannot rermember who the manufacturers were.' - pre 1932 — Rankin (1932) (Name) (tartans-authority, record)
