    This tartan appears to have been a sett woven by Wilsons of Bannockburn and may be referred to in a letter of 29 June 1818. Wilsons of Bannockburn a weaving firm founded c1770 near Stirling. The tartan was adopted in 1998 by the Caledonian Cameron Commando of France as their unit tartan, to commemorate their links to Scotland during the war.
