    Designed by J R MacLellan of Edinburgh and assumed to be a personal tartan. None of the 'MacLellan' websites seem to know any more than the following: 'Shades of colour will vary from one mill to the next. If you check the tartan shown for MacLellan at other sites there will be a difference in the width of some lines. The three parallel black lines may be equal width and the black yellow black lines may be equal width. Also there are three other tartans registered to the MacLellan name (these will be the personal ones shown here - Scottish Tartans Authority) that are different from the conventional one.
