Recreated from an incomplete threadcount for the family tartan of the designer. The designer's great grandmother told of the family being a broken sept of Clan MacFarlane, with the surname originally being MacEochaidh or MacEochaid. The name changed to MacGoughie in the mid-18th century in the colonies, and to Gough in the early 19th century.
