One of the Fathers of the Confederation. Sample in Scottish Tartans Authority's Johnston Collection. This is exactly the same as #5126 (original Scottish Tartans Authority reference) Sir Samuel Leonard Tilley. Needs resolving. "Canadian Founders", authentic clan tartans representing Canada's Founders, woven by West Coast Wollen Mills. Vancouver. One of the Fathers of the Confederation. Sample in STA Johnston Collection. The designer obviously took a short cut with Nos 4796, 1482, 5286 & 5126 in this series since they are all based on the Royal Stewart and have the same threadcount but vary in one colour or shade of colour - pointed out by John Fitzpatrick in his July 2008 review of Canadian tartans. This is exactly the same as #5126 Sir Samuel Leonard Tilley and all the designer has done is change a few shades but not the colours.
