It is assumed that this was designed by Cochrane and George MacBeth of Vancouver in 1939. Similar to #541 with black guards having been added to the blue stripe. Recorded in the Coulson Bonner collection held in the Scottish Tartans Society archive. - 1939 — Canadian Caledonian Htg (Universal) (tartans-authority, record)
Black guards have been added to the blue stripe. Assumption is that Cochrane & Macbeth of Vancouver also designed this Hunting version. Scottish Tartans Society records make reference to Coulson Bonnar.
