Provenance

Earliest known date: 2004 A new tartan, a simplified sett based on the #893 Robertson tartan once presented by the Jacobite Prince to a Robertson during the '45.'' (The Setts of the Scottish Tartans, D.C. Stewart, 1950.) The Donachie of Brockloch Society have adopted this tartan.

    Based on the sett of which D.C. Stewart wrote (#893, original Scottish Tartans Authority reference), ''..a fragment of which now belongs to the Clan Donnachaidh Society, is given the name Robertson. The plaid of which it was part, is said to have been presented by the Prince to a Robertson during the '45.'' (The Setts of the Scottish Tartans 1950.) The Donachie sept have adopted this variation.
