TTD — the Total Tartan Dictionary

The dictionary's pages record the tartans that exist. The TTD navigates the tartans that could exist — the whole weavable space. Give the weaver a thread count and a palette and it weaves the cloth in your browser; from there, jog any colour a shade lighter, darker, or round the hue ring, and watch the tartan change one step at a time.

Every tartan here has an address: the URL alone encodes the whole cloth, so anything you weave is shareable. Below each weaving the weaver lists the nearest existing tartans by ΔTartan distance — open a neighbour to keep exploring, or step out to its page in the dictionary — and maps the corpus around it.
