MacGill
A tartan of Clan MacGill. Its design is pattern RGKWGRGWBKRGW — the page of every tartan sharing this colour sequence.
MacGill family sett from Jura, used before 1745, lost during proscription until rediscovered in Kintyre; current Society version dates from 1930.
The MacGill tartan groups 4 setts — the same named design recorded as different cloths (its kilt, Carpet, Child's…, or a transcription apart). The master sett (★) is the exemplar.
