Tweedside District Tartan Tartan Number: 1175. Earliest known date: 1840 One of the several patterns Wilson named after towns and districts. The Society has in its collection a silk specimen of a similar date in which the red next to the black is replaced by white. The hunting version of this tartan has recently been revived.
